Due to a large number of clients bringing in their large dog’s for de-matting that HAVE NOT been regularly groomed, we can no longer accept new big dogs. We will continue to service our existing clients who do have big dog’s. We simply ask that you please be fair and reasonable in these type of circumstances. The reason for this is that it is VERY time consuming to de-matt a large dog that has not had regular grooming.

Therefore we will increase our price due to the longer amount of time required for this procedure takes.

Please note the normal rate does not apply. Our normal rates are based on dogs that have been REGULARLY groomed. We do recommend this to be fair on all parties especially your pet dog.

Please also note:

We prefer not to quote over the phone as dog’s and their individual circumstances will vary.  In order to provide our customers the best price and service, an in house visit is always going to be more precise on costing.

Just a few updates for our clients that will help us service your Dog for Grooming better.

Dog Grooming Products: We sell shampoo and dog grooming tools. We use these oursleves. We also have Maggies biscuit variety. They are well made and super delicious! If you purchase our shampoo and conditioners, please hold onto the containers and we can just refill these for your next fill.

Tags: Please attach the disc to the collar loop sliding them on just allows them to slide back off.

Children: Please prior to entry into our facility advise children NOT TO APPROACH WAITING DOGS. We do not know what other peoples dogs are like with strangers so it is a safety issue for our visitors. We also ask for quietness as best as possible please.

Pick Up’s: PLEASE PLEASE wait for our call. We will text you or call you when your pet dog is ready for pick up. Just have your phone switched on. Pets get very excited if they hear you and this makes finishing the dog grooming process take longer and at times more difficult.

Arriving: We cannot groom out a wet muddy dog. Please avoid parks and ponds before coming in for a dog groom.

Leads: Keep a spare in your car please. The $2 shop has some very adequate ones.

Payments: On Pick up please pay by Cash, Eftpos or Cheque.

Viewing: You are welcome to look through our premises before or after grooming your pet dog. We request not during the dog grooming process because this will distract your dog.

Dogs in season: As you know our dogs are not caged and at this time it is very upsetting for other dogs about. Please change your dog appointment. Also some of our male dogs are not neutered so its important to consider this not be taken for granted. We would appreciate your consideration.

Most times we are not told about this and we want to keep our facility safe for everyone by doing our best to keep dogs apart!

Appointment Cards: Please take one sometimes your appointment time is forgotten when you get home so of course, an appointment card will help.

Regrettably due to an increase in running cost’s (like everything) we have increased our dog grooming service prices.

We have tried to maintain our current rates but find these no longer sustainable. As a result we wish to advise our customers there will be a $5 increase per groom from the 1st October, 2010.

Please note that dematting charges will remain the same but these are additional to grooming cost’s.

Clients that have a regular 3 weekly appointment with us will not be affected by this increase.

Delivering Exceptional Customer Service for our Clients!

Step 1: Secure your pet up on a table, put a mat down or a towel if the surface is slippery and of course when I state secure your dog down I don’t mean tie in any way “noose like “. Just ensure he/she is stable and safe.

Step 2: Gently inspect your dog’s mouth, teeth and ears, check your dog’s feet and their nails.

Step 3: Now using the correct brush and comb, begin grooming your pet dog. Remember to do a little bit at a time, be patient talking to you dog throughout, and give your dog the opportunity to get used to what’s taking place.

Step 4: Your pet must be completely free of knots and tangles before bathing otherwise they will cement in.

Use a shampoo appropriate for your pets skin and coat type. The key to a clean dog is the use of plenty of fresh water. By using shampoo which is diluted with water and scrubbing the coat with a sponge you will achieve a clean dog. Should the rinse water still have dirt coming off the dog, repeat the procedure until the rinse water is clear. For stubborn dirt that never seems to go, use a slicker brush or a rubber scrubber can aid in removing the dirt of your pets coat.

Once your pet is clean, towel dry and comb through the coat while it is till damp to remove any tangles which have occurred during the bathing procedure. And that’s it, following these steps and you have ahieved a very high standard of Home Dog Grooming and your dog will reflect this in their appearance and no doubt love you for it as well.
